Global Defense Initiative

The Global Defense Initiative is an alliance designed for the protection of world interests. GDI was formed in the year 2074, in response to the Brotherhood of Nod gaining power in Russia and China. This alliance includes the countries of:

United States
Anglo Alliance
European Union
Balkan Confederation

GDI's primary adversary is the Brotherhood of Nod, and conflict between the two powers has steadily escalated in the past 3 years, ever since Nod caused mass destruction world-wide during tests of their Nuclear-Tiberium Weapons. GDI has also engaged Forgotten forces in several skirmishes during that time, but the most recent threat faced by GDI is from the rogue AI known only as CABAL.
